Wat jij gaat doen

Power BI. AI. International logistics. Healthcare. As a Distribution Analyst at Bausch + Lomb, it all comes together in one role with visible impact across EMEA. You will work with transport data, cost analyses and dashboards that directly influence delivery times, service levels and distribution to customers and healthcare professionals. This is not a standard analytical role, but a position where your insights matter every day. With a close-knit team of five colleagues, a wide range of interesting projects and the opportunity to use data in smarter ways, you will take on a role with substance, visibility and international impact. Read on to find out more.

As a Distribution Analyst, you will ensure that Bausch + Lomb has daily insight into transport performance, freight costs and delivery reliability. Without your analysis, the team lacks visibility into carrier performance, cost deviations and trends within the distribution network. You bring structure to data, identify deviations and translate figures into concrete recommendations for colleagues in Distribution, Finance, Customer Service, Order Management, Operations and IT.

You will work extensively with Power BI and use data from inbound and outbound transport flows. This includes daily reporting on shipped orders and carrier performance, monthly forecasts for expected expenditure, and analyses of price increases, premium shipments, pallet shipments and transport models. You will also be able to explore AI and advanced analytics, helping Distribution work more intelligently.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing delivery performance, carrier performance and transport costs across EMEA.
  • Maintaining and improving Power BI dashboards, including the Carrier Performance Dashboard.
  • Analyzing actual freight costs against budget, forecasts and carrier invoices.
  • Supporting RFQs, freight tenders, business reviews, rate cards and Time-in-Transit cards.
  • Identifying trends, deviations and opportunities within transport processes, including the use of AI and automation.

Waar je terecht komt

Bausch + Lomb operates within eye care and provides products that are relevant to customers, patients and healthcare professionals. From Schiphol-Rijk, the organization supports transport flows to various countries, with multiple carriers and different shipping models per country.

You will join the Distribution team at Bausch + Lomb in Schiphol-Rijk. The team consists of five colleagues who work together every day on inbound and outbound transport across EMEA. The atmosphere is engaged, direct and collegial: short lines of communication, strong relationships and extensive knowledge of international distribution.

Wie jij bent

You combine analytical skills with curiosity about logistics. You work accurately, take ownership of your analyses and enjoy translating data into clear recommendations. When something changes in carriers, costs, delivery times or data, you investigate what is happening and come up with a practical approach.

You also bring:

  • A higher professional education level, preferably in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics or Engineering.
  • Around two years of experience in transport and logistics analytics or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, Excel and knowledge of data structures and statistics.
  • Strong English communication skills. Dutch is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
